5 days within...

And while we're five days within the opening of SFD 2010 registration a lot of things are happening. First we saw an amazing 100 teams register on the opening day! The registration is still going well strongly and due to the heavy traffic Linode has deemed necessary to give us a server upgrade (yesterday). This should ensure better site availability and pages loading response time. Most of the wiki bugs have been ironed out (mainly permission issues) and the Team Page Creation process should be a lot smoother now. We have also updated our CreateYourTeampage guide with much more extensive description, screenshots, explainations of some wiki markup tips for issues you may encounter as well as some tags explanations.

So now that you have registered your team (or soon will have) it is time to spread the word about SFD. We have set up a wiki page for us all to track places where we talk, advertise and contact people about SFD. Please help us to keep it up to date.

And the latest update of the day will be about our ongoing (and slow) efforts to migrate to OSM as a map solution. We have found a dedicated individual in the name of Niccolo Rigacci from Firenze, Italy who is actively working on it. One can see a preview here (albeit not working/being updated). So good luck with your preparations and happy SFD and keep talking to either through our mailing lists or IRC channel!
