I am a newspaper editor by profession, but I'm FOSS evangelist by avocation. When I'm not working as a copy editor at the Santa Cruz Sentinel, I publish "Open Source Reporter," http://www.opensourcereporter.net, which is on the web currently, with the print version scheduled to debut in January 2008. I also blog as "Larry the Free Software Guy" at http://larrythefreesoftwareguy.wordpress.com. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains with my wife, Japanese peace activist Kyoko Kawashima, and our 9-year-old daughter and a cat (with a second cat making himself at home). If you count the laptops, I own eight computers, seven of them Macs and all but one running various GNU/Linux distros (my wife's eMac is the lone holdout).
