Equipo GNU/Linux Tenerife (Islas Canarias)

Organizan el Grupo de Usuarios de Linux de Canarias (GULIC) y la Oficina de Software Libre de La Universidad de La Laguna (OSL-ULL), y Colabora la Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de La Laguna.

Se celebrará el día 15 de septiembre, de 10 a 14 horas en la Plaza del Adelantado en La Laguna, Tenerife. Concretamente en la conocida "Ermita de San Miguel", construida en 1759, y situada entre el Mercado y el Juzgado. Ver la localización en Google maps

• Habrán ordenadores con Linux instalado para que los asistentes lo prueben
• Se realizarán charlas según las demandas de los asistentes
• Se harán demostraciones de programas
• Se repartirán CDs de distribuciones de Linux
• Se repartirá información sobre la labor de la Oficina del Software Libre de la Universidad así como del Grupo de Usuarios de Linux de Canarias.
• Se proyectarán videos con contenido relacionado con el software libre
• Se ayudará a instalar Linux a aquellos que traigan sus ordenadores

• Servirán como arranque de las II Jornadas Internacionales de Software Libre de La Universidad de La Laguna que se celebrarán entre el 18 y 21 de Septiembre.

Team GNU/Linux Tenerife (Canary Islands)

It is organized by the Canarian Linux User Group (GULIC) and the Free Software Office from La Laguna University (OSL-ULL), built in 1759, with the collaboration of Culture Department of La Laguna Council.

It is going to celebrate on september 15, from 10 to 14 hours at Adelantado's Square in La Laguna, Tenerife. Concretely in an antique church known as "Ermita de San Miguel", which is between the Market (Mercado) and the CourtHouse (Juzgado). See the location in Google maps

• There will be computers with Linux running, where visitors can test it
• There will be talks and explanations about visitors questions
• We will show free software in action
• We will offer Linux live cdroms
• We will give information about services of the Free Software Office at University and the Canarian LUG.
• We will broadcast video material with related free software content
• If you bring here your computer, we will help you with Linux installation

• It will be the beginning of the II Free Software International Meeting of La Laguna University, that will be celebrating between september 18 and 21.
