Scarborough, on the Gold Coast of the North East, has had its first organising meeting for this years Software Freedom Day.
After a bad experience two years ago when it rained we have moved inside. We have booked some room in Scarborough's Main Library on Veron Road. The downstairs foyer area has been booked, together with a three panel table top stand, this year I intend to remain warm and dry.
We now have the Saturday of the event and all of the following week in the library. I think we can get something in the local newspaper this year!
We also might have got the Ryedale LUG interested in having an event in Malton (UK).
Promotional material is being produced, blank disks stockpiled.
