Free Software User Group Italia
The Free Software User Group Italia supports the spreading of Free Software in Italy. It is running a project about Free Software and is improving itself in order to offer a best service for Italian Free Software users.
This year fsugitalia will prepare the event into a school: the ITC Capitini ( http://www.itccapitini.it/ ), located at Viale Centova 4 (06128) Perugia Italy. The event is made in collaboration with a group of schools that believes in Free Software and that have begun a project named OSSpg ( http://www.osspg.net). After Event
Was a great day, with more than 400 students, a lot of teachers. The students where very interested, we give a lot of CD's, and answered at a lot of question. 4 school had partecipated at the event, even a political representative of the Umbria region.
In the first talk Alexjan Carraturo talk about the importance of Free Software in particular in the life of every school. The explain how to refuse the EULA software, and how to buy a computer with Free Software
In the second Talk, Domenico Margiotta talk about the semplicity to pass from proprietary to free software, making examples and showing various free software
In the third talk, Francesco Crippa (Fedora Project), after the story of Free Software and the various distribution of GNU/Linux, talk about the Fedora Project
The last talk, Paolo Bernardi talk about a free programming language that is python. In the "Application Space", teacher from various school ask to the members of team Fsugitalia, question about their doubt on using Free Software in school.
